New lawyer representative member for the Victorian Legal Services Board

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Gabi Crafti SC as an advocate lawyer representative member of the Victorian Legal Services Board.

Ms Crafti was appointed to the Board by the Governor in Council for a four-year term effective from Tuesday 29 July.

Board Chair Sam Hay KC said Ms Crafti was a welcome addition to the Board.

“Gabi’s considerable expertise and deep understanding of the legal system will meaningfully contribute to the Board’s work in regulating and promoting excellence within the legal profession in Victoria,” Mr Hay said.

Ms Crafti is a senior barrister specialising in commercial litigation, with a particular focus on insurance law and various aspects of financial services law, as well as infrastructure/construction law and professional negligence.

The Victorian Legal Services Board is an independent statutory authority responsible for regulation of the legal profession in Victoria. They're integral to the effective implementation of the Legal Profession Uniform Law in Victoria, ensuring professional standards are maintained and consumers of legal services are protected.
